Blu-ray Disc or BD
Is a format for digital storage of large amounts of data, including the high-definition movies and games.
A standard DVD has a storage capacity of 4.7 GB of data,
and one with two layers approximately doubled.
A Blu-ray disc holds on the other hand, 25 or 50 GB. This information is much more densely stored on Blu-ray discs,
so to read the information, a special blue laser is used compared to standard DVD in which a red laser is used,
a blue laser read more fine print than
a red because it has a shorter wavelength.
